The Bookstore
An author that I'm very fond of is Janelle Taylor. Her Ecstasy series is wonderful. The series starts out with a white girl, Alisha, captured by an indian brave named Grey Eagle, and the hardships they face in the fight for their love. It continues by branching out into the lives of their family in succesive generations.

Another author I highly recommend is Jean M. Auel. Her Earth Children series is unbelievable. Auel uses her powerful storytelling style to sweep us away into a prehistoric world recreated as it truly might have been. You first meet a special heroine, the blond Ayla, as a child, adopted by a dark Neanderthal clan. In each book, Ayla continues to search for a permanent home. You learn of life and love in the beginning of mankind.
