Your life aboard the USS DESTINY

After your assignment by the Fleet PO, you'll send a post arriving at the USS DESTINY, the Cocoon Fleet's Training Vessel; and reporting to the Chief Training Officer (CTO) Lt. Commander Stan who should be in his ready room or on the bridge.

The USS DESTINY is our training vessel. Its main mission is to patrol the area directly around Starbase Omega, as well as completing the training of Cadets assigned to the Cocoon. Your character has been selected for the USS DESTINY's rigorous training because your character exhibited some abilities that have the potential to make them an excellent Starfleet officer. (Whether your character realizes this or not is up to you :-) ) The ship's CO, who is also the Cocoon Fleet's Chief Training Officer, will assign you to one of the ship's command positions.

HWF Academy Instructors will assist you and answer any questions. Your instructors' job is to get you ready for your first assignment to an active unit. The role of the Academy is to familiarize new players with collective fiction writing and the HWF style of story telling.

This is the place to make mistakes, ask a lot of questions, and have fun. (Remember General Order Number Two.)

The USS DESTINY is a Starchild class starship and will be your home for the next few weeks. A multi-role vessel, the Starchild class was designed as a replacement for the ageing Excelsior class ships. Design concepts began early 2398, following the same basic hull design concepts with upgraded systems and a different saucer section. The Starchild began service in 2400. Since then the retiring of the Excelsior and the integration of the Starchild has taken full effect.
