The Amazing Spider-Man # 438

Writer: Tom DeFalco, Penciler: Scott Kolins, Inker: Gary Martin
There was something strange in New York when a new pre-history suddenly started, with dinosaurs, leting everybody endangered and filled of fear. But as quick it started, it vanished, leaving our friend Spider-Man eager to know what happened, but happy because he had taken pictures to sell for the Daily Beagle.

Meanwhile, Daredevil went to his alter ego's office to meet a new client, the owner of a small softwarehouse, Gilsoft Games.

At the Daily Beagle, Parker's processed film showed nothing more than scared people running in the streets.

Meanwhile again, at the Matt's client's office, we were introduced to a small worker that developed a device called Mobile Virtual Reality Inducer, that make anybody who uses it to be able to project any lifelike image he can imagine.

When the girl made a new attack to the city, using her new invention, Daredevil showed on, followed by the Spider-Man. Using her device in the web-head, she made him see Daredevil as a huge and dangerous robot attacking her. It forced Spidey to battle Daredevil due to the machinations of the new villainess called Synario.

Luckly, after a brief struggle, the two heroes pulled it together at the last moment and defeated their bizarre adversary, destroying the device and parting on friendly terms.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 439

Writer: Tom DeFalco, Penciler: Rafael Kayanan, Inker: Bud LaRosa
In a distant future, Zack and Lana, a couple of archeaologists found a Spidey's web-shooter in a dig. Satisfied, they returned to their laboratory to try to identify the brownish stain on the device. In that future, Spider-Man was very popular. People admitted Spidey as a pivotal player in the age of heroes. They wrote books and thesis about our friendly neighbor web-swinger.

A computer machine identified the stain as blood. The archeaologists imagined that that place when they found the web-shooter was the place when Spidey fought his definitive battle, and died. They continued discussing about the past, imagining it as pink as they can.

Returning to the present, it was rainy. Peter and Mary Jane were at home, when they knew by TV that there was a child missed in the sewer system of New York, and that child had his life in danger because the tunnels were starting to be filled by water.

Spider-Man went there, trying to help the police in the search for the missed girl, but he was refused. He pretended that he was leaving and got into the sewer system using another drain hole.

In the future, Zack and Lana continued discussing about Spider-Man.They said that Spidey used to have a spider-cycle and a spider-chopper, as his means of transportantions, and the spider-cave, his vast underground complex where he stored the most advanced crimefighting equipment of his time. (We all know that was their imagination an how humble our beloved hero is.)

Back to the sewer system, Spidey found the girl, but he was catched by the debris of a broken ceiling. He escaped with only a wounded arm. His web-shooter was smashed and covered with blood. Then, he disposed of it, throwing it away. (Maybe this is the web-shooter found by Zack and Lana in the future!)

Finally, Spider-Man saved the girl, but was not welcome by the police, the fireman and the people that was waiting for the girl.

In the future, Zack intended to use the Spidey's DNA from his blood to replicate his power and start a new age of heroes.

Peter Parker Spider-Man # 95

Story and Art: Howard Mackie, John Romita Jr., Scott Hanna
PPSM#95 The New York Mayor declared war on guns. His special forces and Spider-Man defeated all the gun's smugglers and guns sellers in the New York's black market. It was a good help for Mr. Wilson Fisk try to become the Kingpin of Crime again, because all the others crimelords in the area were without the most important support for their illegal operations - the guns.

Peter was meeting Betty Brant in the Daily Beagle, in order to get some jobs, when they had to enter in an elevator, where Norman Osborn and his grandson already were, trying to escape from a explosion, courtesy of Nitro, the Living Bomb.

The elevator fell, was stopped by the automatic breaks, a lot of debris fell into it, and Peter found himself trapped in an elevator with Norman, his worst enemy, a injured and fainted Betty and a scared little Normie.

Norman invited Peter to use his powers to release them, as he used to be a hero, but everybody would watch he doing this, in the lobby, through the security camera image. They discussed durante a few minutes, about powers, responsibilities, heritage and legacy. Finally, Peter removed the debris, opened the door and put everybody in a safe place, included Norman Osborn. Peter had known all the time that, because of the explosion and the fall, the security camera was out of order.

Outside, Norman said to Peter: "Once again, Parker, it all could have been over. All you had to do was... nothing. And I would have been out of your life forever." Peter replyed: "You are welcome, Norman", because he understood what he had said as a thank you. At this moment, the elevator fell down definitively. If somebody would have been inside it, he certainly would be dead.

Hours later, in a hospital, Peter received a visitor called J. Jonah Jameson, that told him that every single head of the city's major crime families was either dead, critically injured or missed. This was the return of the Kingpin of Crime to rules the New York's underground.

The Spetacular Spider-Man # 261(Goblins at the Gate - Part 3 e Final)

Story: Roger Stern & Glenn Greenberg, Pencils: Luke Ross Inks: Al Milgrom
At the very moment that the Hobgoblin was almost unmasking the fainted Spider-Man, the Green Goblin did not permitted him to do this, saying that that was not what they were there for, and that any delay could jeopardized the success of their mission. Then, they took Spider-Man and Hobgoblin's brother, Daniel, to their hideout in an Multivex factor complex.

There, they met Norman Osborn. Roderick Kingsley, the Hobgoblin's alter ego, started a discussion with Norman. Spidey was seized by chains and hung from the ceiling, but recovering his consciousness.

The discussion ended in a fight between Norman and the Hobgoblin. During the struggle, fire started to caught the place. At this moment, the web-head escaped from the chains, entered in the struggle and unmasked the new Green Goblin. Obscured by smokes, our heroe could not see the face of his new foe, who fled away. The bombs from the Hobgoblin's bag of tricks was almost to explode. Spider-Man took Daniel in his hands and jumped through a window, to the street, puting Daniel in a cab in diretion to the police.

He returned to the factory and found Norman and the Hobgoblin continuing to fight. He attacked both of them. Norman took advantage of this and left Spidey and Hobgoblin in a struggle. He found the Green Goblin's missed mask, put it into his face and, wearing his suit, used a bat glider to escape. The policemen that saw him flying said: "What's that... the Green Goblin?" and other: "If it was, he's sure dressin' better these days!"

The firemen entered the firing place, Spidey help them with the ceiling that was almost to fall, and Hobgoblin desappeared.

Several days later, Roderick Kingsley was enjoying a retirement in the caribbean island of Isla Suerte, thanks to his secret swiss bank accounts.
