Then, Osborn sent his super-powered lackey, Override, to rob the piece from the Technomancer building. The webspinner interfered and struggle against the villain inside the building. But, because he had to take care of a monster that appeared, Override got off and secured the piece.

Meanwhile, Mary Jane received a call from an old friend asking her if she have interest to return to the modeling business. She set a meeting with him to better discuss the issue.

After bringing the magical piece to Norman, Override then asked him if he could take Cromwell's place at the ritual. Osborn agreed.

Before the hypnotized Molten Man could finish Mongrain, Spider-Man appeared, which allowed Alison and her companion Joe Robertson to escape.

The Molten Man continued to battle the webspinner until they tumbled into the Hudson River. Spidey emerged and the Molten Man desappeared.

Meanwhile, Norman acquired another piece necessary for the Gathering of Five ritual which he believed would bring him ultimate power.

Later, Osborn contacted the recognitive woman, Madame Web and made her an offer. She was to get an unassuming Spider-Man to do what she could not: acquired a missing piece necessary for the arcane ritual called the Gathering of Five. She was to tell the webspinner she needed the piece to help her life.

Because Spidey knew nothing of the Gathering of Five and Osborn's connection to it, he retrieved the strange object for her, believing he was merely helping the old woman out of her pain.

Meanwhile, J. Jonah Jameson picked up a gun and, in a desperate moment, prepared to shoot Osborn. Going into Norman's room at the Daily Beagle, he manaced the industrialist with the arm, but was not able to pull the trigger, dropping the gun. Norman picked up the weapon and aimed to Jonah's head. In this very moment, Spider-Man burst into the room and throwed web all around the gun and Norman's hand, avoiding the shooting. As normally, Jonah just told Spidey: "You get away from me!", showing an face full of rage.

Madame Web then brought the piece to Norman who asked her to join him in the ritual, as one of the five, promising that if she did, she would once again be vibrant and youthful.

Meanwhile, Mary Jane was meeting Veronica Sthal, a big player in the modeling business, and signing a contract better than the Cindy Crawford's and Naomi Campbell's that granted her, for now on, a better life.

Spidey caught a bank robber and then helped out some kids to get rid of some big young guys who was competing with them for use the neighbourhood street to play basketball. He even played with them, showing how good he was on basketball. The two bycicle riders continued to follow him and caused a lot of accidents with their quick ride through the streets.

Finally, after they caused a big car crash, they were bond together with web by Spidey and sent to the police's hands.

The final member of the Gathering of Five came of her own free will to New York with the last piece necessary for the ritual, met Norman Osborn and surprised him with her arriving.
