Wackette's Thanksgiving

We want to wish all of our friends a very Happy Thanksgiving!! We all agree that we have made some of the most wonderful friends here and we want them all to know how thankful we are to have them. So to all of those people who are special to all or some of us....we love you *group phug!*

This is the time of the year that people automatically start thinking on the special things in their lives that they are thankful for. Although we tend to only voice those things at certain times of the year, we are thankful for them always.

So we have each put down some words about what we are thankful for. We also have some recipes and stuff so take a look at how the wackettes feel about Thanksgiving:-)

I'm thankful for many things...they range from the simple to the complex. First and foremost, I'm thankful for the emotion of Love. To be able to love is the most important thing to me. To accept people for what they are, without trying to change them to suit my own needs. I'm thankful for my children. To be able to watch them sleep quietly, to play with them, to dance to loud music with them, to hear them tell their friends that their Mom is cool. :) My husband... to know that he loves me is very important. Knowing that we have had tough times, and that we are still here together.
I'm thankful for my friends. For knowing that whenever I need to vent, or to laugh, or even to cry, all I have to do is turn on my computer, and they will always be here to lend an ear, tell a joke, give a shoulder to cry on, or a hug to make me feel better. I only hope that I can do the same for them. I have met the most wonderful people on this little box, and I consider them my best friends. They know who they are... ;-)
Lastly, I'm thankful for my father. To be able to tell him one more time that I love him. To be able to hear him tell me. To see him walk, hear him talk, watch him do simple things that so many of us take for granted. I realize that I will lose him soon, and the time we spend together is priceless to me. The only thing that I ask for is to be able to tell him one more time that he is my Hero; to thank him for accepting me for what I am, and loving me anyway.

Hmm, What am I thankful for.. Lets see, the Computer.. LOL No seriously, I'm thankful for my family and friends IRL, they make everyday special. *Smiles* Now for the family and friends on the computer, Now they make everyday FUN and BEARABLE. LOL If I'm feeling down and need to chat Screwywabbit, Huney, Sammi or Papacod seem to be there ready to lend me their ears. Without out this here contraption I would never have gotten to meet the Wackettes, a really special group of women, or some of the other people who I've meet since I've been on-line!
Many faces have come and gone. I'd like to send out hugs to all those faces who have patiently stayed and chatted with me from the onset. Sammi, Slo, Wytduv, Papacod, Huney, Morgan, Willowy_blue, Last but definatly not least Screwywabbit hey are you glowing? Thanks for the laughs and the ears!

I am thankful for so many things it is hard to know where to start! I am thankful for my husband and my children, they are the joy of my life and I am so lucky to have them. My extended family, who has always been there for me and is the absolute best I could ever wish for.
I am thankful for my ability to dream and makes those dreams come true.....without that I wouldn't be the person that I am. I am blessed in my friends.....both here, IRL and those that fall into both catagories. Those people that are extra special to me, you know who you are and I want to say thank you for adding to my life, for giving me those special things that are uniquely you that I wouldn't have been able to enjoy without having you in my life. I consider myself very lucky to have met all of you. *huggles*

I thought it would be so easy to express my feelings in words about that for which I am grateful – you know, "I'm thankful for.......yada yada yada." But once I sat down to write, there were so many words running around in my head that they got jammed up like logs in a river. So then I decided that maybe I could think of just one thing and write about that. Of course, that one thing would be Love. And I've got it in spades these days – pouring out, flooding in..it's a regular Love Fest around here. Still, that seemed too easy – so I decided to think about the one thing that is really making me smile right now, on good days and not so good days as well.
I thought and thought..and so many things came to mind – my family: 3 beautiful kids and a great husband, friendships, health, the birds that sing me awake every morning, my warm fuzzy houseshoes...well, you get the picture. I thought of so very many things for which to be thankful, but I found it absolutely impossible to settle on just one thing...and then suddenly I knew!!! The one thing is....SEX!!! Just kidding. Well, not that I'm not grateful for that, too.. ;-)
Finally after all this sappy thinking that there is one thing to describe life right now: It's all good...every bit of it.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING....YA'LL!!!

I'm thankful for...first and foremost...my family...without a doubt..I don't know what I'd do without them! My kids are great!! And I'm thankful for all the friends I've met on here...for all of you who have been here for me when things get rough....I can count on ya for a shoulder and a hug....and a laugh!! And, I'm thankful for my "special friend"..you know who you are..*smiles..sweetly... innocently....* hehehe.

I am thankful for my family I love so much and all my friends that I have in yahoo, hugs you all!!
