Church of the Silver Savior
Number of members: 200+ total members; 25+ Evolved
Key Members: King of Spades (co-leader), Bender (co-leader), Andrew Aldrich (Money and Information), the Silver Savior Triplets (their trinity)
Hangouts: They have at least 2 buildings, a warehouse (all in Night City), and at least 1 compound outside of the city
Philosophy: They are a new interpretation of apocalyptic Christianity. The faternal triplets of Bender and the King of Spades (The Silver Savior Triplets) are a new trinity. Followers view the family as the generals in the final battle. Any Evolved are classified as angels. This fits their idea that God is arming his warriors for the great war. Those who follow
the new trinity are forgiven all sins and will sit with the Almighty at heavenly banquet. Those that do not obey their wishes come in three classes: the ignorant/misled (normal people who haven't been 'reached'), agents of the devil (normal people who actively fight the church's aims), and fallen angels (Evolved that don't follow the church). They are preparing and training for the final battle, and seeking to decrease the devil's
army whenever possible.
Reality: Essentially, the triplets are almost figureheads. Their parents are the real driving force behind the church. Their father, the King of Spades, runs the day-to-day management, trains recruits, and 'interprets' the children's' visions. Their mother, Bender, runs the finances, legal
actions, and 'education'. They have one very strong contact in Arasaka named Andrew Aldrich. He helps to supply them with information and funds. He's high enough in the structure that many consider him above suspision. They have about 10 lieutenants who act as assistants and administrators of certain church functions. They also have an elite segment of the church
population who act as abduction team members. By and large, everyone involved is wholly commited to the triplets and their 'mission'.
Silver Savior education consists of a barrage of subliminal, pharmaceutical, social, and virtual mind control. The brainwashing takes about three days if intrusive, but they try to only use blatant methods when recruiting new 'angels'. Unfortunately, the subliminal methods do not work well on Jammers; it usually crushes their mind, so they become babbling idiots. Any time brainwashing is ineffective, the mistakes are destroyed. Recruitment happens in one of two ways. First,
most members are drawn in through normal social interaction or subtle thought reform. This is the normal cult method. Second, many Evolved they find (and a small number of normal people) are kidnapped. They usually find these people through their contacts or Arasaka. If a non-Evolved child is recruited, they are delibrately exposed to the Plague.
Since they live with the imminent apocalypse, they are just a teeny bit paranoid. One of their buildings is the operating center for CyberTectronics Inc. a dummy corporation. The people who work there, for the most part, have absolutely no idea about the Church of the Silver Savior. They think CyberTectronics is a data conversion, tracking, and brokering firm. Only the most senior members know its real purpose. Aldrich works to ensure that it remains beneath the megacorps'
radars. Furthermore, their second building in Night City is a six story skyscraper. The first two stories are devoted to the N. M. Bilgrave Allergy Research Facility. All the doctors are members of the church, but the patients are not. It has an AI controlled security system with guards near all the sensitive areas. Also, they are very careful to destroy all electronic, paper, and human trails; this makes tracing them very difficult. Currently, the location of their compound (made as a jumping off point for the final battle) is unknown, but they are arming and training. In all, they are organized, fanatical, and paranoid. Not a happy combination.
