Here are some notes of mine I'd like to share on teaching and classroom motivation.

1. Begin the lesson with an eye-catching activity or challenging questions.

2. Explain why the topic is being studied.

3. Establish clear expectations for the students.

4. Use eye-catching displays in the lesson.

5. Relate the lesson to real life.

6. Encourage students. Tell them when you see effort and improvement.

7. Be caring and empathetic.

8. Create a classroom environment that supports learning.

9. Personalize the content as much as possible.

10. Allow the students to participate in decision making.

11. Help students see the connection between achievement and effort.

12. Describe mistakes as opportunities for improvement.
