On this page I've listed some of the best sources of information I've found on the Web. (there are thousands to chose from!). If you have a source of information you think is especially useful to Toastmasters, let me know and I'll add it here. (Of course, I reserve the right to edit any suggestions I receive!)

Toastmasters Clubs

Toastmasters International. This links you to the Toastmasters International home page. You can find information about clubs all over the world at this site.

Sources for Quotes

Bartlett's Quotes. This is the grand-daddy of all quote sources. From this site, you can search their data base and download a quote that is just right for your speech.

Quotes Resources. Need a quote on anything? Check here -- this site has 'em!

Mark Twain's Quote Page. Mark Twain had something to say about almost everything. You'll like the collection of sayings from one of the most popular wits the United States has ever produced.

Humor Links

The Gag Room. Items to tickle the funny bone!

The Humor House. More humor, jokes, stories, and other stuff!

The Reader's Digest. A wonderful resource of stories, jokes, and other information for your Toastmasters Roles.

Various References

Information Please Almanac. You read it as a child and still marvel at the amount of information it contains. Now, it's online. Do you need to know the population of Pittsburg or the worst disaster of 1995? It's all here -- take a look!

Manhattan Chowder & Debate Society. This is a specialty Toastmasters debate club. Their site lists information and links of interest to debaters. They also list information about current controversial issues that are appropriate for debate.

My Virtual Desk Reference. This is a well organized site that has hundreds of links to various references on the Web. Included are links to encyclopedias, dictionaries, weather reports, "Fast Facts," and dozens of other topics.

On-line References. This page has links to numerous reference works. Included are encyclopedias, dictionaries (several languages), thesauri, maps, fact books, U.S. Census data, and piles of other references.

The History Channel. If you need ideas for Table Topics, take a look at the History Channel's "This Day In History." You can find information about any day in history, which can lead to very interesting Table Topics. For an example of the types of information you can find at The History Channel, take a look at my Calendar Page

Toastmasters Resources. This site has over thirty links of interest to Toastmasters. Included are speaking aids, how to "web" your club, a "Word of the Day" link, and many more.
