Ø Outlook Express is included in Internet Explorer, which is bundled in Windows and available free for most new computers.
Ø Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Eudora Light, and other free e-mail programs include address books. Some are more comprehensive than others.
Ø Some national ISPs, such as America Online, integrate e-mail service into their software.

Ø Basic, unsophisticated programs are actually easier to use and faster than full-featured, professional programs. They also require less hard-disk space and RAM.
Ø Full-featured programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, typically include calendars, task lists, contact databases, and other "personal information management" capabilities. If you don't need these features, don't let them clutter up your desktop.

program you download or buy.
Some ISPs limit the size of attachments you can send or receive. Changing your e-mail program will not help. |

Free e-mail is typically Web-based. It usually doesn't have as many features as Internet service provider (ISP) or work-based e-mail, since you have to use a Web interface most of the time, but you can access it anywhere.
Decide what type of e-mail service would be best for you. Consider factors such as the volume of outgoing and incoming mail, message storing, the ability to send and receive attachments, frequency of use and security.

Visit various sites that offer free e-mail. Review their respective plans, features and terms of service. Once you've found a free service that suits your e-mail needs, follow the site's instructions on how to set up your account.

Do a search for "free e-mail"
or "Web mail" using a Web search engine.
