Welcome to the SAFC Web Site!
|
Thank you for visiting the South Asian Friendship Center and Bookstore website. The SAFC is a group of Christian volunteers who love, pray for, and befriend the South Asian community. Many of the volunteers are bilingual and have knowledge of the South Asian culture and mind set.
South Asian commercial district on Devon Ave. is one of the four largest such districts in North America, located on the north side of Chicago spilling over both east and west between California and Western Avenues. There are over 400,000 South Asians from India and Pakistan in the Chicago area.
We desire to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at our Chicago bookstore and our online presence where South Asians are comfortable to come in and browse the books, sit in our facility, and engage in friendly conversations.
