What is in the Ergonomics section?

The Ergonomics section introduces the practical aspects that technical communicators should know about when using multimedia to provide specific information to their intended audience. The section includes case studies about various situations where industry used technolgy for training, along with case studies where educational facilities used technology to deliver instruction.

As technical communicators we know how important usability testing is to the success of a product. Functionality and usability come under the auspices of ergonomics. It is necessary for professionals in the technical communication field to become more aware of human factors and the usefulness of products on which they work.

The medium is the message because it is the medium that shapes and controls the search and form of human associations and actions.
