55. Sarah F. or P. (?) Buckalew. Born in 1776. Sarah F. or P. (?) died in 1843; she was 67.

Sarah F. or P. (?) married William Collins.

Moved to the Mississippi valley in IL

56. Nancy Buckalew. Born in 1777. Nancy died in 1865; she was 88.

57. Mary Buckalew. Born in 1779. Mary died in 1872; she was 93.

58. Amos Buckalew. Born in 1781. Amos died in 1816; he was 35.

59. Rachel Buckalew. Born on 14 April 1784. Rachel died on 10 May 1871; she was 87.

On 19 June 1823 when Rachel was 39, she married Samuel Earle, son of James Earle & Susan Bird. Born on 8 March 1760.

They had one child:

60. John McKinney Buckalew , Sr. Born on 17 December 1786 in On Chillisquaque. John McKinney died in FishingCreek TWP, Columbia Co., PA, on 15 November 1859; he was 72.

1808: John purchased a homestead and left it to his sons, Perry and John M.

In 1812 when John McKinney was 25, he married Martha Funston. Born in 1789 in Nr Bethlehem, PA. Martha died on 1 January 1840; she was 51.

61. William Buckalew. Born in 1789. William died in 1789/1790; he was <1.

62. Rebecca Buckalew. Born on 17 April 1791. Rebecca died in Huntington Twp, Luzerne Co., PA, on 25 June 1882; she was 91. Buried in Dodson Cem., Southdale, Huntington Twp., Luzerne Co., PA.

Rebecca first married Daniel Woodward.

After 1844 when Rebecca was 52, she second married Rev. Epaphros S. Wadsworth, son of Epaphras A. Wadsworth (30 November 1755-26 October 1841) & Desdemona C. Marshall (16 July 1763-about 27 January 1841). Born on 28 September 1794 in Duchess Co., NY. Epaphros S. died in Huntington Twp, Luzerne Co., PA, on 16 September 1871; he was 76. Buried in Dodson Cem., Southdale, Huntington Twp., Luzerne Co., PA.

"...a very useful
and much esteemed teacher in Huntington Twp about 1821 (Echo) and/or a
reverend (per Kathleen Bauer <kbbauer@worldnet.att.net>) and in 1813
married first Charlotte STEVENS (1793-1844) (4? children, 1815-1833) and
second Rebecca BUCKALEW (17 APR 1791-25 JUN 1882) (all three bur. Dodson
cem., Southdale, Huntington). On 22 DEC 1827 Epaphras (or his father?)
purchased plot 12 of the 2nd Div. (111 acres) from the original grantee,
Obil FELLOWS.
The 1830 census of Huntington Twp, Luzerne Co, PA (p. 368) lists Epaphros
Wadsworth, Jr., but he is not in the 1840 or 1850 census.

63. James Buckalew. Born in 1793. James died in Cambria, PA, about 1873; he was 80.

James Buckalew was one of the pioneer settlers of Cambria, Luzerne County, Pa.; he built a hotel and store and conducted them for many years. His hotel was destroyed by fire. in company with Mr. Stephens, James Buckalew built a section of the Hickshinny Canal. He was one of the prosperous businessmen of his community and at one time owned nearly all the land where the town of Cambria is now located. He formed a matrimonial alliance with Catherine Jones and they reared the following children: John, Elmira, Evans, Sally Ann, Mary, Eli, Elizabeth, and Harriet. Mr. Buckalew enter the world of rest at the age of eighty years.

James married Catherine Jones. Born in 1792. Catherine died in Cambra, PA, in 1862; she was 70.

They had the following children:

Elizabeth married Jacob Ogden.

65. Mordicai Buckalew. Born in 1798.

James E. Bucklew gives has Mordicai name spelled Mordica and has his yob as 1789.
