2519. Margaret Buckalew. Born on 6 December 1852 in Choctaw Co., AL. Margaret died on 4 February 1945; she was 92.

Margaret first married Jerry Phillips.

They had the following children:

On 7 January 1879 when Margaret was 26, she second married Robert Waller. Born about 1838. Robert died on 16 October 1914; he was 76.

Enlisted in Confederate Army in Clarke Co, MS, and served in Co. H, 8th MS Reg. Discharged in 1865 from Rock Island Prison in IL. He was in the Union prison Camp for about 30 days. His occupation was carpentry. On 20 Jul 1909, he applied for a Confederate pension. He lived in a rented house and had four sons and one daughter. Had the use of only one eye.
Died on 16 Oct 1914, and his wife drew a widow's pension. On 27 Sep 1915 she was living with her son, W. M. Waller, at 1815 19th Ave. in Meridian.

2521. James Madison Buckalew Jr. Born about 1855. Buried in Bethany Cem., Whynot, MS. Occupation: Farmer.

Lived near present residence of James & Delores Reynolds

On 24 December 1888 when James Madison was 33, he married Mary Frances Gough, in Meridian, Lauderdale Co., MS. Born on 9 September 1863. Mary Frances died in Meridian, MS, on 5 June 1951; she was 87. Buried in Bethany Cem., Whynot, MS. Nickname: Mollie.
