2752. Thomas Taylor Buckalew. Born on 7 June 1847 in GA. Thomas Taylor died in Fitzgerald, GA, on 21 April 1912; he was 64.

Name spelled in Bible BuckElew when listed as child of John P. Buckelew, but spelled BuckAlew I'm assuming that in this Biblical record Thomas T.

BuckAlew and Thomas J. T. BuckElew were the same person.

Listed as "T.T." in 1850 Henry Co. census, 2 yrs old.

1861 Pike Co Confederate Service Record: Enlisted Thomas T. Buckalew.
He and Mary C. (Gilmore) had seven children of whom Wm H. and Mary Gilmore Buckalew were the youngest.

According to Elizabeth Axton: Occupation: Engineer for A, B & A Railroad. Religion: Primitive Baptist.

Killed when engine of train fell through trestle on run from Thomasville to Fitzgerald, GA.

On 11 May 1871 when Thomas Taylor was 23, he first married Frances A. "Fannie" Norris, in Monroe Co., GA. Born on 5 January 1852. Frances A. "Fannie" died on 10 January 1877; she was 25.

1874, 8 Sep, Monroe County, GA, Will: James Norris writes his will naming wife, Mary A., and children--among whom was Frances "Fannie", wife of Thomas T. Buckalew, one of the named executors.
Marriage listed in GA, Bk B-2, p. 25.
She and Thomas J. Taylor Buckalew had two children.

On 13 March 1879 when Thomas Taylor was 31, he second married Mary C. Gilmore, in Monroe Co., GA.

2754. Floyd Monroe Buckalew , Sr. Born on 28 April 1854 in Zebulon, Pike Co., GA. Floyd Monroe died in Perry, FL, about 1921; he was 66. Buried in Pine Grove Bapt. Ch., Hwy 339, 5 mi., So. of Trenton, FL.

Elizabeth Axton added a note: "1880 Census, 545th GA Military Dist."

On 28 November 1875 when Floyd Monroe was 21, he first married Sarah Gertrude Harris, daughter of William J. Harris (1818-) & Alethia Ann Turner (1826-), in Pike Co., GA. Born on 10 May 1858 in Pike Co., GA. Sarah Gertrude died on 3 March 1904; she was 45. Buried in Pine Grove Bap. Ch., Hwy 339 5 Mi, So. Of Trenton, FL.

On 20 July 1906 when Floyd Monroe was 52, he second married Mary Charlotte Brooks, in Trenton, FL. Born on 31 March 1877 in Alapaha, GA.

On 16 December 1880 when Linda Matilda was 22, she married James Franklin Wilder, in Zebulon, Pike Co., GA. Born on 26 January 1839. James Franklin died in Griffin, Spalding Co., GA, in 1896; he was 56.
