Women of classical music

I can't go through one day without hearing about Britney Spears, but I've managed to go months without ever hearing about Lara St. John, even though she's just as good looking and has 6.02 x 1023 times as much talent. And, in my opinion that is as humble as it is infallible, Hilary Hahn is the best violinist alive. This page now narrows the Spears/Hahn gap by one, to approximately 8 quadrillion to 3. At one time, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Leila Josefowicz were also here, but I've gotten rid of them for space reasons and because their playing isn't as inspired as Lara's and (especially) Hilary's. In any case, these are by no means the only pictures out there on the net, as I have no intention of being a "rabid fan of so-and-so's gallery," but are instead the ones I like the most. If you have good taste, you'll like them, too.

Hilary Hahn

It is surprisingly difficult to find pictures of her. All of these came from her page at Sony Classical before they mangled it with Flash, making it as uselessly eye candy as this page. She isn't just an excellent violinst; she's also an extremely nice person to talk to.
