February 9, 1999 More Space Images

Following in an obvious theme, I've added a few more images. To start off with, Here is a voyaging satellite probing a remote planet for exotic life. I made a few of these for my two daughters to play with -- read crash and destroy.

A pair of ground skimmers are on a surveillance mission to monitor a power generator. The fun part of doing this image was creating the landscape. In trying to be different, I thought a more rounded landscape would be more interesting. Although technically not a space image, it fits the science fiction subject of this category.

Other Recent Changes

Below are some of the other recent changes to my web site.

February 4, 1999 Big Changes

Well, I've really done it now! I've revamped my whole GeoCities site, mostly in an effort to better use sub-directories, but also to provide for more diversity. In addition to cosmetic changes, I've also added a number of new images.

First off, since the first Star Wars(TM) episode is coming out this year, I've added a squadron of X-Wings to Space Images. Unlike the LEGO Group's own models, anyone with a Basic Bucket set should be able to recreate it!

Soon after completing the X-Wings, I revisited my Moon Lander using the actual instructions. I left the scene the same, but the model is now true to the original.

And, lastly, I've added a small space battle where two Interceptor craft are taking on a Space Frigate. The fun part here was getting the laser bolts to look right using POV-Ray's new media statement.

Okay, to show that I really have built with LEGO bricks, I've added a LEGO Models page. Currently it displays pictures of my third Space Cruiser. As I find time, I'll add in some more pictures from the past, and, hopefully, of the future!
31 August 1998
Well, I finally did it! I rendered the 497 Galaxy explorer! Well, the space ship at least. Enjoy! Also, updated the links and ideas pages. I probably should get to work on getting some better documentation for my library! Sigh!
5 August 1998
Fixed an error in the alternate picture for 452 Mobile Tracking Station. Also fixed some errors in the 588 Police Headquarters and uploaded an alternate image showing the back of the model.
31 July 1998
Okay, I sat down and rendered a few models I'd been wanting to get done, as well as finishing up some models I should have already finished. There are now new Space and Town models of various styles. I've added two police models, to include the counterpart to the 602 Fire Chief. By modeling 600 Police Chief, I was able to finish the hat needed to really complete models 373 and 588. On the subject of 588, I added the remaining stickers and hats, changed the model positions, and now have a really nice scene! On the space side of things, I've rendered the first space model I've owned, 452 Tracking Station, in two positions, as well as the 897 Rocket Launcher (which is also known as 462, go figure). I also have included a differently angled 6861 just for fun. I'm also going to render the 588 Police HQ from the rear to show you the office space and prison cell (yes, I did render it, you just can't see it). Enjoy!
3 July 1998
To finish my library for release, I added the last few pieces from my Model 6024. You can view both in the Forest Gallery to see what's changed!
30 June 1998
I was asked a few times, so I've decided to put my library out for download. As I find the time, I'll add a tutorial for using it since there are no documents for it yet. Check out Building for all the details!
14 June 1998
Fixed some page layout problems. Also updated links page.
11 March 1998
An updated version of model 588 Police Station has been added. I just have a few Police images and shirts and hats to complete to get this one finish, but for the most part it is done! Enjoy.
26 January 1998
While playing with LDraw, I rendered model 602 Fire Chief to compare development times. Enjoy in Town & City!
10 January 1998
Added a new Space image depicting alien space freighters. Also, I re-rendered most of the other space images (new library, updates, etc.).
Also, I updated the Oil Rig image using my new library in the Town Gallery.
Under Free Style I added the Snowman image from my holiday picture.
18 December 1997
First off, check out the new images in the Gallery. I've updated most of the images using my new library -- there's edges on those bricks! Also, I added in a night image of the oil rig, complete with flame!
Also, I updated the Howdy! image (right) to remove some extra space and added an Igloo home icon on each page to reduce animation overhead on the rest of the site.
I have an idea for a Fun Page that will include some games or such. Just wait and see!
4 December 1997
Big changes! First off, I've totally redesigned my site, hopefully for the better! I still have some ideas for improvements, but it's really come a long way. In addition to the web changes, I've updated my LEGO Library, so many of the old pictures will be updated to reflect the new changes. As I update the graphics, I'll post the results. Also, I've included a new image: the 588 Police Station. Stay tuned!
