Joseph Stalin

Mao Tse-Tung

Adolf Hitler

Socialism, Communism, Fascism.  Three sides of the same coin.  There is no greater threat to freedom than these three ideologies.

The word NAZI means National Socialism, it was the desire for socialism that created the environment for Hitler's Holocaust.   But, was Hitler more brutal than Stalin or Mao?  No.  What sets Hitler apart was his hatred for a specific race of people.  Stalin had no such limitations on his brutality.  Millions were killed under his "leadership".  It was Mao and Stalin that kicked off the Korean war.  How many people were killed by the Chinese Communist Govt.?  Remember Tianemen Square?  THAT is the legacy of Socialism.  Death, murder, oppression.

Many modern liberals are admitted Socialists.  Do they understand the type of system they encourage?  Some do, some don't, some just think it
sounds good.  And, on the face of it, it does.  Except for a few problems.

In all three definitions above, there is one common thread.  Government control.  Control over your life, your children, your education, you money, your car, your job, everything you do.  Central control.  Are you prepared to give up all control to someone?  Why, that would make you a slave to the state.  THAT is the problem with socialism.

But there's more to it.  With the Govt. in control of everyone and everything, where is the encouragement to innovate, succeed, excel?  Loyalty to the State?  Not likely.  It wasn't loyalty that encouraged the invention of the Automobile, the Microchip, or the Television.  It was PROFIT.  Profit, for all it's faults is the greatest inspiration this world has seen.  If you can come up with an idea that will sell, you will make money, and you can then feed your family, clothe your children, and live in luxury.  Profit is the ultimate motivator, because it encourages one's own survival.  There is no such encouragement in a Socialist world.  Innovate for the State?  For some abstract reason like the betterment of "society"?  Or innovate for the survival of you and you family, and better the lives of everyone else in the process?  Which is the more powerful motivator?

Survival.  Freedom.  The ability to excel.  THAT is what has made this country great.  Every single person in this country has the ability within his or herself to rise above the rest.  What they do with that ability is up to the individual.  Not the State.  If someone doesn't have the motivation or desire to excel, then that is their
choice.  Dirt poor people with no education have worked to become the richest people in the country, and people born rich with doctorates have ended up dirt poor.  It's up to the individual.

We don't have a perfect system in this country, but is there such a thing as perfection?  We have a system that has created things that the entire globe uses.  You wouldn't be reading this page right now if it wasn't for the concept of profit.  Would Bill Gates have 'built' Windows for the State?  Or to become the richest man in America?

Capitalism, not Socialism is what has made our lives so rich.  Look around you.  Would you have any of the things you use everyday if everything was under State control?  No, you'd be standing in line for toilet paper, and it wouldn't be that ultra soft stuff you like either.

Socialism is monstrous.  It sounds nice, and fair, and utopian, but it leads to oppression, death, and misery.  There is no such thing as Utopia.  It's a nice 'idea', but in our imperfect world, it is impossible.
