S-Grapher

This SVG application lets you view some preset patterns called s-graphs. What is an s-graph? It's the name I've given to a pattern generated by playing around with some trig functions. These patterns look similar to spirographs, but use a different principle.

Back in 1997 I wrote a Java applet called S-Grapher Lite. The SVG version extends the functionality by allowing users to create new s-graphs.

Requires an SVG plugin, such as the Adobe SVG Viewer 3.0 (or later), and JavaScript must be enabled. This application works with Netscape 4.7 running in Classic mode on Mac OS X. Limitations of the plugin's interactivity with other Mac browsers limit the application's audience considerably. Hopefully this will be addressed in the future. But I have been able to successfully run S-Grapher/SVG on Windows running both Internet Explorer and Netscape.

If your browser is not fully SVG-enabled, a Flash version is available.
