In the 1900 census of Hancock County, Bingham Twp., Iowa had a servant living with him, John Kloke, born 1865 in Germany.

Perhaps descended from the Morts (last generation spelled their name Moret, Morret, Morrets) from PA to Ohio. David and his brother Israel from Perry County. (Perry County where?)

Notes for EUGENE FRANCIS ROCHET:

Born January 19, 1864 died September 1, 1939.  According to the 1900 census, he was born in 1864 and came to the US in 1883. He said he was a naturalized citizen by 1900. He came to the US when he was 17. These numbers don't add up. He was living with George SANFORD family in 1900 in Boone Twp, Wright County, Iowa. He was single and his occupation was listed as a tiler.  Eugene Rochet's parents were Xavier Francois ROCHET and Rosiah VILMOT.  He had three sisters and one brother.  One sister, Marie ROCHET married Albert Joseph PETIT and lived in the same area of Iowa that he did.  Marie and Albert had three daughters, Ophelia, Angela Rose, and Mary Alice.   Ophelia and Angie were still living in 1966 in California.  When Eugene Rochet died in 1939, his obituary stated he had one sister, Virginia ROMERIL living in North Carolina.
