28 June 1998~ We survived another round of bad storms
last night. We had a lightning storm like I have never witnessed before
in my whole life. That was fine, until it turned into tornado warnings
and watches. I am going to go through some of my patterns today and
try to start getting some more Victorian craft ideas on my page.
I need to add more recipes, too. I'm out of acid-free paper for my
scrapbooks, so I won't be working on that until I get more.
27 June 1998~ I'm hoping to have a relaxing day today! I've been working on my photo albums and trying to get our pictures in the proper books and on the proper acid-free paper. I want these photos of our family to be around for generations to come to see, so I have to take care of them now. I have 2 shoe boxes full of photos, so wish mu luck! 19 June 1998~ Today is my youngest birthday! Abigail turned 2 years old today. I can' t believe it! We got her a Teletubbie doll "Poe" and a new tricycle. She really thinks that she's a big girl now that she has a big bike like her older brother and sister. 10 June 1998~ Time really does fly, doesn't it? I have been so busy and I had my hands full last week with all three of my children home, because of summer vacation. But, thre is hope! Two of them started summer school and that lasts through the end of this month. Maybe I will be able to spend more time with my page now. I'm not doing as much as I want to. My 2-year-old-to-be is keeping me busy, because she doesn't have her big brother here to entertain her any more! 19 May 1998~ I found a couple of Victorian magazines that I have been pouring over for the past few days. One has an article about Eureka, California, and it sure looks like the place that I would love to live! One day I will have my dream home! Girl Scouts has been taking up most of my free time, so not uch else has been going on. We are planning a trip to see my family and I am very anxious to see them.....it has been several months. Military life can be a real bummer sometimes. 16 May 1998~ What a busy day I have had. I spent most of it with my Girl Scout troop at a enviromental workshop at the camp and we had a picinic afterwards. Whew! There was a lot of hiking, but it was so beautiful and green and the view of the river was lovely. Then, the fun really began! I bought some flowers for my front yard and I am very anxious to spend tomorrow working in the flowerbeds. I have pansies, foxglove and other flowers waiting to be planted and my green thumb is ready to get into the dirt. One day, when we have our own house, I will have a huge, Victorian garden. One day...... 15 May 1998~ I think that I am finally back now. A lot has been going on in my life and with my computer that has kept me from up-dating my web page and I feel very badly for it. I have been able to get on-line from time to time and read my guesbook, but that's it! I have had so many visitors and no way to thank them for coming to my page and I feel horrible for it. I am hoping that things are okay now and I will try my hardest to catch up and get this page going again! I pray that you haven't given up on me and my site, because I still have so much more information to share with you! 31 March 1998~ It's been awhile, but I'm back. I have been working nonstop on a web page for our Girl Scout Council. They needed help, so I volunteered! So, that is what I have been working on ever since. I'm happy to say that it is finished and it will be up-loaded soon. On Saturday I went to an 8 hour class for CPR/First Aid. It was pretty rough, but I passed! It looks like my Brownie troop will be going to the local museum to see an exibit with the "Degas" statue. I'm so excited! I've been wanting to see it and now I will be able to go with a great group of girls. 18 March 1998~ I'm having a lot of problems with editing my sign guestbook page. I would like to make it look a lot nicer, but things just aren't working out at all. I found the wonderful graphic above from 17 March 1998~ Happy St. Patrick's
Day! I hope that everyone had a good one. Mine was yet another
busy day! Girl Scouts has really been keping me busy lately!
I am finally going to upload the visitors page
this evening. I know that it's taken me awhile and I apologize.
16 March 1998~ Another busy day of Girl Scout duties. I uploaded the visitors page this evening and I will be adding to it regularly. I think that the best thing to happen today was the arrival of the newest issue of Victoria Magazine in my mail box! What a lovely issue. There is an e-mail discussion group being formed now to just talk about Victoira magazine (this takes you to their site, not the e-mail group) , so I will keep you posted as I learn more. I did find their web page today, so be sure to visit it soon! 15 March 1998~ It was a very busy weekend and I wasn't able to spend any time working on my page. I did get some wonderful help from one of our community leaders. My guestbook will be looking a lot prettier soon, thanks to her help. She has a wonderful web page about cats and she has some Victorian kitty graphics, so I will be adding her URL to my page soon. I am planning on having a page dedicated to my visitors that will have their web page addresses on it. Be sure to visit it, so that you can see the wonderful pages of all of the people who graciously signed my guestbook. 13 March 1998~ I'm finally back and recovering from a bad cold. I need to rest up, because this is going to be a busy weekend for me. Tonight is Brownie Fun night at a local high school and then I have to get up in the morning to go to a class at our Girl Scout council. This is a required class for all leaders and co-leaders, so I can't miss it. I hope to spend some time on this page tonight, so I'll let you know if I've made any changes! 10 March 1998~ Day 3 of being snowed in and would you belive that it is snowing again? Let's see, 2 or so more inches added on 12+. I am ready for spring! I was so proud today to get an award from Marie at Backgrounds by Marie for excellene in elegance and beauty on the web. Go to my main page to see it! I was also accepted as a member to The Garden House and I now have their beautiful logo on my main page also. I redid the main page in tables, so it's appearance should look better now. I'm learning as I go here, so things will change as I learn something new. I will also be adding a new lesson on the etiquette page nightly, so be sure to visit it often~ 9 March 1998~ It's day two of being snowed in and my children are suffering from a horrible case of cabin fever. No school today for my oldest and no work for my husband, so this has been a long weekend. I added several new links to the resource and links page this morning. Would you belive that I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning working on my web page? I'm crazy and tired, but I did find you some new, good links! I also did a lot of work on the etiquette page and on the events page of my Girl Scout page, so please visit there soon~ 8 March 1998~ This is my first entry of my journal. I have never been very good at keeping a journal and I have always regretted it. So many things have happened in my life and I wish that I could sit back one day and read about them. But, I can't do that, so maybe I will give it another try and pray that I keep with it this time. I have spent most of the late evening surfing the web for different pages about Victorian things and graphics and I found several that I will be adding to my links list or resources page very soon. I have to wait until after my 3 children are all snug in bed and sound asleep before I can do any work on my page, so there may be times when I can't work at all, because I'm too tired or my littlest one decides to stay up all night! But, I will try to work on it nightly because I really want this page to be helpful to everyone interested in all things Victorian. |
