Migration Issues

 

ClonePrincipal (Clonepr.dll)

$             interforest migrations only

$             list of sample VB scripts that can be customized for migrating users and groups

$             duplicates or Aclones@ user or group (local and global) objects from the source domain into the target domain - does not move them

$             eliminates the need to update group memberships and ACLs, preserving uninterrupted network access for users in the new domain structure

<              target domain must be operating in native modem

<              moves only global groups as a closed set of groups in the source domain - closed set requirement is that in order to maintain group membership rules, users and their global groups must be moved together - because this is a destructive operation, this is often impossible without moving the entire domain

<              cannot move local group objects
