A few of the testimonials received in 2001...

Thanks so much for sending extra copies (of your newsletter) to the Detention Center. Prisoners love them and many prisoners are being saved. God bless you!
- Testimony shared in a note received from a Chaplain at the Rutherford Detention Center (Rutherfordton, NC)

(Your newsletter) is such an informative magazine, so much scripture showing many things that (are) happening. God is using you in many ways and the Devil is trying to keep you to himself. You are too strong in your faith that you will never give up, Ever! …Many prayers are said for you and I know you feel them…May the Lord take care of you three while you are doing his work.
- Testimony shared in a note received from a family in Concord, NC

I appreciate your work too much for that and I guess it’s about time I showed it. .. As your (ministry) work wonderfully points out, America seems to be continuing her slide down the slippery slope toward ultimate judgment. My view of this is that the source of the problem may reside in the Christian community. There seems to be a large acceptance of what I consider to be an error in interpretation of the apostle’s statement in Galatians 3:28. This is the scripture that the modern church seems to use to justify female pastors and homosexual leaders. The context of Galatians 3:28 alone disproves this view. I also believe that America is currently under the earth of God. This is explained in Romans 1:18-32 where Paul points out what happens to a society when it rejects God. As we know, God is in control and His Will will be done…I agree with all that you’ve stated in your heartfelt and sincere letter (July 2001 Ministry newsletter insert) and I want to encourage you to continue!
- Testimony shared in a note received with a donation from a family in Beaufort, NC

Hope you realize we are in a battle to keep the flesh from doing the job God wants us to do until Jesus returns. Time is running out. He is attacking from all sides. Pray for me and I will pray for you. The picture of all three of you (our family) is a blessing every time I see all of you together. It is a miracle of the Lord that will always be firmly planted in my mind and heart!
- Testimony shared from a friend in Kannapolis, NC (my former Church secretary in my tenure in serving as a local Associate Pastor) of our family.

David - the crowd at the race was well behaved, so your (evangelistic) ministry out there must be working! Just saw a few that were ‘sloshed,’ but I’m sure you’ll get them straightened out by the next race!
- Testimony shared from a dear friend of our family, and CIM monthly supporter, who lives in Virginia and who traveled to Concord to attend the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in May 2001; he shared his comment in reference to our evangelistic support with Raceway Ministries each Spring/Fall at Lowe’s Motor Speedway races.

"Thank you for that message…it spoke to my heart…you can step on my toes anytime…I need that type of preaching…it challenges me in my daily walk with Jesus!
- Testimony shared after one evening of the revival service at Glorieta Baptist Church (Concord, NC)

What a powerful ministry and calling (you have)…how come I don’t hear my pastor preaching on the things you do? We need more pastors and preachers that will preach the Word without apology. I love my pastor…but the messages each Sunday are only feel-good ones…and they don’t help me when in my Monday to Saturday life!
- Phone testimony from a lady in Mooresville, NC after seeing CIM on “Hearts of Hope” cable show.

Keep up the good work. If our great nation is to survive, it must turn back to God. Otherwise, we will go the way of the Greeks and Romans. You are making a difference; rest assured of that.
- Testimonial note received with a donation from a family in Charlotte, NC

We need more preachers to preach the Word...Thank you for your faithfulness to do what God has called you to do.”
- Testimony received from church member of Friendship Baptist Church (Salisbury, NC) following worship service.

Your message spoke to me…I know I need to do more for Him. Thank you for preaching His (prophetic) message.”
- Testimony received from church member of Friendship Baptist Church (Salisbury, NC) following worship service.

I really did not ‘enjoy’ that sermon at all…my feet ached the entire time!…Thank you for preaching the Word without apology – the tough messages that we (Christians) need…we need to hear more preaching on the issues facing our families and our nation. Please keep us the great work which God is doing through you!
- Personal testimony of a woman shared after the Sunday a.m. worship service at Bethel Baptist Church (Salisbury, NC)

I thank you for your preaching God’s Word…it is powerful! Keep preaching His Word with such boldness!
- Personal testimony of a woman shared after the Sunday a.m. worship service at Friendship Baptist Church (Salisbury, NC)

I am glad …that you (are)…taking a stand on this vital issue (Harry Potter). You can count on my support, and I will pray for you!
– E-note received from a CIM supporter (Charlotte, NC) on Christians and the Harry Potter issue

Now I would like to take this time just to say, that I hope the family is well. I hope that life is treating you right and that God is taking great care of you. We know the tremendous sacrifices you made to be where you are. As I told you in my last message to you, you were then and still are a big  inspiration and I hope you will continue to strive for the top!
- E-testimony shared from a friend in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC

I have thought of you most days since our conversation and wanted to call you to continue it. Sorry, I just simply haven't done it yet (like I say, if thinking of it counts...I have an A+) ... You have no idea how much your spiritual guidance and friendship means to me. I loved my old house and prayed so hard that God would send the right people to buy it. I firmly believe He did!! He sent good people for the house and neighborhood, a new friendship for us, and a Minister that I know I can Always count on! He sent ALL this in one package. He is wonderful!!!
- E-testimony shared from a friend in Concord, NC

Proverbs 21:20 – You Are Very Wise!

Thank you so very much for that message and those words of comfort from the Lord – I really was blessed and comforted by them and am so very thankful that I came to today’s chapel service…it was a special blessing.

“Thank you for a powerful message – a most powerful message from the Lord!

We just wanted to thank you for sharing your personal testimony of adoption with our church last December when you were here – because of that, we have prayerfully begun the adoption process and have signed up with the Link Adoption. Because of your faithfulness and family’s testimony, we now have new Hope for our family adopting.

Thank you for this ministry, and we thank God that He has blessed us in ways that allow us to share in the work you do. God bless!
- Testimony shared in a note received with a donation from a family in Morganton, NC

I pray that God would bless you indeed and family and ministries, but also that He would draw you closer to Himself, for we have no ministry apart from a deep personal relationship with the Father (John 15). I feel the Lord is calling His people back to Himself. …fight the good fight of faith…I appreciate you in the Lord.
- Testimony shared in a note received with a donation from a family in Concord, NC

“David - I have to be completely honest with ya here…When I was growing up you were like a big brother to me. I always looked up to you and wanted to do the things you did. Well the only thing that has changed is that we have gotten older and time has flew by. You are still an inspiration in my life, just by the choices you have made and the (ministry) path you decided to follow. I could only hope that every kid could have the positive influence that I did, the 1 person who makes them believe that they can do anything!
- Testimony shared from a former child neighbor; the young man is now a Sergeant in the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg.

- Testimony shared from a friend (& my former Church secretary) of our family who resides in Kannapolis, NC and who is battling severe health problems/ailments.

I was out of town the week you came to my church and preached at our revival services…I have heard many wonderful testimonies of the messages you shared and I really regret I could not have been there!
- Testimony shared from a member of Glorieta Baptist Church. who I met in service with Raceway Ministries.
