Both boys aquired puppies while we were staying in Ohio. We had previous told the boys once we moved and were settled they could each have a puppy. Well on February 8th my dad's dog had puppies, which is where we were staying at the time. Of course, the boys fell in love with them immediately, and began dragging them around from the time they were only a few days old. They were so excited. They got to hold them before their eyes were open, before they walked, before they barked. They spent time with them everyday. It was almost impossible to tell them they could not have them after bonding with them from birth. We did make them spend time with the entire litter until they were 5-6 weeks old when they could pick which puppy was to be theirs. They did a wonderful job chosing which one to keep because each puppy has the personality of its owner. So here we are in Delaware with 5 month old puppies. (took awhile to get this page together Mom has been busy moving ya know)
Nick's puppy is named Barker, because she was the first of the litter they heard bark. We are very happy she does not often live up to her name. She is the calmer of the two. From the time she was little little she loved to have her belly rubbed. And she loves to Dig holes.
Matt's puppy, also female, is named Teddy. She is a little more hyper. She loves to play and loves any attention at all. So much so she often will steal her sister's attention if we let her. Teddy and Matt are always on the go.
That is about it for now check back soon to hear any news flashes, cute stories and see the pictures.
I would like to thank the folks at FuzzyFaces for the time they put into the graphics you see here and allowing us to use them at no cost on our own webpages. Go see what else they have by following this link.

Oh I forgot to mention the puppies are just a heinz 57 mix, got a little beagle, terrier and sheppard in them, plus a lot more we just are unaware of since we have NO idea what the father was???? They are very good in and outta the house. They sleep with the boys at night. We put short chains in the rooms attached to the beds so the range of destruction is limited, and they tend not to go potty where they have to sleep. Matt always lays on the floor with Teddy and reads to her until she is ready to go to sleep. Barker on the other hand is ready for bed early and goes right to sleep. She will sometimes find a book later in the night and "read" to herself also known as eating the book. Nick is getting tired of cleanin up paper. LOL.
