BBQ

For all you people that love good BBQ, I hate to tell you but you haven't had GOOD bbq till you have had my dad's bbq!! I wish I could give you the recipe but its HIS little secret. All I know is that he puts a little bit of this and a little bit of that, a dash of this and a dash of that and it comes out the best BBQ sauce you have ever put in your mouth!

I live about 12 hours away from home. My family and I try to make it down there to visit 2-3 times a year and every time I go home my dad grills up some BBQ chicken, ribs and sausage. Needless to say there's not alot of visiting done at the supper table! We are all too busy stuffing our faces! We sure dont want to miss a bite!

My brother Terry and I use to HATE having ribs for supper when we were kids. Back then money was tight and my dad made sure no food went to waste so when we had ribs he made us eat on those ribs till every last nibble of meat was gone off that ole bone. We just hated that! Now here I am 30 years old and guess what??!! I DON'T HAVE TO KNAW THAT BONE ANY MORE!! But I certainly enjoy looking back and laughing about those days!

My dad has been in law enforcement for over 20 years. He is now City Marshal in my home town. My mom worked in a jewelry store for many years and is now what she calls "retired".(though my dad may call it something different..hahaha) My parents did a great job raising Terry and I. They taught us good morals, the value of a dollar but most of all they taught us about Jesus. I wish all kids these days were as fortunate as us.
