CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS |
1 Deboned chicken 1 1/2 c. flour 3 tbsp. shortening 5 tbsp. water salt to taste 1 egg |
Cut shortening and flour until real fine. Add salt, eggs and water. Work up. divide into 3 parts, roll and cut up in thin strips. Let set for 20 minutes. Then add to boiling broth. Let cook about 10-15 minutes. Add deboned chicken. Add 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup. * I add a couple of bay leaves to mine, and also a little flour to thicken them.
