A SPRING DAY AT THE
THE CITY MARKET

The City Market is a combination of open air stands and permanent shops. On Sunday's during the spring and summer an art fair is held here too.

This fountain is called The Vision.

You can find everything from flowers and vegetables to live chickens and paintings at the market. It's a wonderful place to shop and experience the variety of Kansas City.

This is the paddle wheel from a steamship that sunk in the Missouri River during the 1800's. It was dug up and the contents were perfectly perserved and can be displayed in a museum at the market. There is a link to this on the Kansas City links page.

This is Greg, Tom and Ric. They are the entertainment on Sunday's during May at the City Market. I love to go hear them on Thursday's at Winslow's Barbecue here at the Market.
