Ohio probate records Between 1860 and 1880 he was Farmer at Noble , Ohio.^1,2,11 He was living between 1860 and 1880 in Olive, Noble , Ohio.¹ Living with sister Jane and her Husband Greenbury Davis 1860 Biography of^27,28 Samuel Ackley, a representative farmer, was born in Licking County, Ohio, in 1831, and in the same year cake to Olive Township with his parents. He remained at home until 1852, when with eight or ten others, including the McKees, he left for California, crossing the isthmus. The journey occupied about 41-days. Mr Ackley remained in California five years, and while there worked most of the time in the Nevada mines. Returning to Noble County he bought the farm on which he now lives, and in 1858 returned to California for a year to settle up some land interests. In 1861 he married Melinda Ogle, of this township. Six children were born of this union, one of whom died in infancy. Those living are Francis W, W Walton, Charles M, Alma and Bertha, His wife died in 1883, and in the following year he married Sarah McGarry- one child, Clyde. Mr Ackley is a Universalist.
