In case you're interested, I am the computer geek (and the one with the weird sense of humor) who created and is constantly updating this site (and who insists on meticulously hand coding each page...)
I grew up in Dix Hills, New York. I have a BA in Hebrew from Binghamton University (formerly known as SUNY-Binghamton) and an MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Teachers College-Columbia University. I moved to Israel in 1988, met Avi, forced him to marry me (or so he claims...) and had 3 kids. I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language at a Beer Sheva high school since 1989.
I used to enjoy riding horses and playing the viola. These days, I like to read and I will read practically anything that I can get my hands on (except for Avi's newspaper).
My main "hobby" (Avi would call it an obsession), though, is playing around on the computer. Over the past few years, I have helped other people learn HTML (and other computer skills) in various places online. I was a Heartland Community Leader from December 1997 until April 2001 (I was even the Heartland Community Leader Liaison for 16 months). During my time as a CL, I was also an instructor at WebTech University, a great place to take classes in HTML and Paint Shop Pro (I actually took one of the PSP classes -- you can see my homework here). I have also been a "Yahoo! Expert" and I still answer questions at Askme.com. If you have a question or need help, please feel free to email me.
Like Avi's picture, this one was taken at Yovel's "brit mila" ceremony. I'm usually the one on the other side of the camera.
