Marion "Mae" Irwin (IL) was born 11/5/1854 in Cloveneden, Loughgall, Co. Armagh, Ireland (Northern Ireland). She immagrated to the United States as a young woman and worked as a nanny for the Lloyd family of Philadelphia. She was one of the first of the Irwin children that immigrated to America and settled near Brandywine Summit, PA. For many years, their home was a haven for all the Irwin newcomers that followed in their steps to America. She and John Oakey Laughead were married 8/13/1879 at the Haverford Avenue Methodist Church in Philadelphia. John was born 8/13/1849 in Ireland and was the son of William & ??? Laughead. After they were married they lived in South Chester, PA. They eventually move to the Laughead homestead on Bethel Road in Booth's Corner. This farmhouse would become a haven fpor all of the Irwin that would follow from Ireland. They eventually sold this farm to their daughter, Rhoda, and her husband, Lawrence Hutton. They moved to another smaller farm on Laughead Lane (just off Bethel Road) in Boothwyn, PA. Both of these farmhouses are still standing today. Eventually, John and Mae moved into the home of their son, John, in Gladwyn, PA. John died 1/7/1939 in Gladwyne. His funeral was from his late residence (his son's home) in Gladwyne (Rev. A. J. Lawson was one of the officiating clergy). He was buried at Siloam Methodist Church Burial Ground in Boothwyn, PA. Mae loved reading, cooking and poetry. She knew many poems and Psalms that she could recite from memory. She died 1/23/1944 in Gladwyne and Her funeral was from the home of her son, John, at State Rd. in Gladwyne. Further services were from the Siloam Methodist Church in Boothwyn. She was buried next to her husband.

Margaritte "Rhoda" Laughead (IL3) was born 4/3/1884 in Booth's Corner, PA. Her first marriage was to Lawrence C. Hutton. He was born in 1888 and died in 1931. He was buried at the Siloam Methodist Church Burial Ground in Boothwyn. She next married Robert Morrison. Robert died ???. Margaritte died 1/6/1969. She was buried next to her first husband.
John David Laughead (IL4) was born 1/6/1886 in Birmingham, PA. [The Laughead-McClintock Family]
Horace "Ross" Goodley Laughead (IL5) was born 8/12/1888 in Booth's Corner. [The Laughead-Young Family]
George Alexander Laughead (IL6) was born 8/10/1890 in Booth's Corner. He ordained into the Methodist Church ministry in 1918, and served as a prominent member of the Philadelphia Annual Conference until his death. He married Rena (Rina?) Hanby (daughter of Curtis Clayton and Lydia (Green) Hanby). He died in 11/30/1951. Rena died 6/27/1966. They were both buried in Siloam Methodist Church Burial Ground in Boothwyn.
Rachael Marian Laughead (IL7) was born 7/16/1891 and died 3/18/1892 at Booth's Corner.
Thomas Andrew Laughead (IL8) was born 11/11/1893 in Booth's Corner. [The Laughead-Mahoney Family]
Mariam Rachel Laughead (IL9) was born 1/10/1895 and died 12/10/1895 at Booth's Corner. She was buried at Siloam Methodist Church Burial Ground in Boothwyn.
