George "Geordie" Irwin was born 9/22/1832 in Cloveneden, Loughgall, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland and was baptized 9/30/1832. He and his future wife, Rachael Thom(p)son, were confirmed 12/29/1852. They were married 9/22/1856 at the Cloveneden Church. Rachael was born 1835 or 1836 in Kinigo, Ireland. George worked as a linen weaver and did so until he passed-away. He was an old Irish character who could tell stories galore. He would sit in the old homestead and sing hymns to himself or to anyone who may have been listening. He knew many old songs and truly loved to sing. He also loved people and would help everyone having trouble with their animals that were sick or unable to bare their young. Rachael died 12/14/1897 of cancer and was buried in Cloveneden Churchyard. George died 3/17/1922 and was buried next to his wife.

Elizabeth "Lillie" Irwin (IW) was born 3/14/1865 in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Williamson Family]

Maria "Marie" Irwin (ICS) was born 4/14/1866 in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Conroe-Sherman Family]

James Irwin (IM) was born ??? in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Mackey Family]

Eleanor Amelia Irwin (IIB) was born 1/27/1869 in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Isaac Scott Boyd Family]

William John Irwin was born in 7/??/1870 in Cloveneden. He never left Ireland and chose to stay with his parents. He continued to live in the old homestead until he died either 3/18/1943 or 9/3/1945. He was buried in Cloveneden Churchyard.

Charlotte Sophia Irwin (IJ) was born 11/3/1876 in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Johnston Family]

Lucinda Louise Irwin (ISB) was born 6/31/1875 in Cloveneden. [The Irwin-Samuel Boyd Family]

Robert Irwin was born ???. He was an orphan and was taken in and raised by the Irwins. He never married but did join Her Majesty's Royal Navy. He was shipped overseas and reportedly died in the Chinese Sea.

Edith Irwin was born in 1891. She too was an orphan taken in by the Irwins. She and John Devlin were married and settled near the old homestead. John was born in 1883. They reportedly had one child. John died 5/7/1960 and was buried in Cloveneden Churchyard. Edith died 2/19/1978 and was buried next to her husband.
