Eldon Tallman Caldwell, Idaho ~ 1997 Dad resides in Lebanon, Oregon, but visits us in Idaho every July while in the area for his Adrian, Oregon, class reunion.
Meridian Speedway, where Dad raced in the "A Class" was billed in the 1950's as the "Fastest Dirt Track in the Nation." No car built after 1940 was allowed on the track.
Eldon & "880" ('34 Ford), Meridian, Idaho ~ 1950 My dad customized, rebuilt, and was the driver of his own jalopies.
Paul Jameson, Eldon Tallman, & car "44" ('36 Ford) Notus, Idaho ~ 1952 Ol' 44, a hot rod that helped Dad win an entire display case of trophies, was sponsored by the machine shop where Dad worked.
Eldon at Adrian High School; Adrian, Oregon ~ 1941 Dad was the captain of the baseball team, football team, and basketball team, 1941 Senior Class President, and 1941 Valedictorian.

LaVone "Tiny" Luby ~ 1965 Anaheim, California While living in southern California, Mom had a great tan.
Tiny on Beppo, Adrian, Oregon ~ 1935 During her early teens, Mom's favorite hobbies were horseback riding and swimming.
Tiny ~ 1942
During her mid teens, my mom's favorite hobbies were horseback riding & boys (not necessarily in that order).
Tiny at 15, Adrian High School, Adrian, Oregon ~ 1941 Mom played in the school band, was Class Vice-president two years, in drama, and a drill team majorette. She graduated, a year ahead of her class, in 1943.
