Well the worse has happened, I am now on dialysis three times a week. I have developed kidney disease and the main source of this problem was from the low carb diet and the long term use of aspirin products for my arthritis. I just wanted to let you know what they don't tell you in the books. Due to taking lodine since 1990 for my arthritis and being on the low carb diet I have developed kidney failure. I have recently returned from the hospital for the forth time where I started dialysis. From the biopsy of my kidney they determined all the protein from the diet along with the extended use of lodine caused my renal failure. If you are taking any kind of aspirin or aspirin products and go on the diet you run the risk of kidney damage. Be sure to have you blood tested often. I still believe in the diet as a short term weight loss program and have kept my diet page included on my web site. Please be careful and check with your doctor often.

I especially love to work with my Janome Memory Craft 8000 and 10000 and Baby Lock 'eclipse, they make every new technique an exciting challenge to tackle. I may not achieve professional results but everything is made with loving enthusiasm. My creative fountain will never run dry with such a magnitude of sewing and craft projects available. I am always open to new ideas and very flexible, designing and creating stunning projects that sparkle and what better way to display them but my web site.
Since I have retired I thought I would have all the time in the world. I don't know how I accomplished so much while I worked full time, the days go by faster now. The computor takes up much of my time also, it is a learning experiance and I am delighted with the results. Most of the knowledge I have acquired, is available on the internet. That is another whole new world for me. I love it!
How about another talented granddaughter. She made a rail fence quilt with a little help from Gammie.Chelsea's Quilt
