Our youngest traveler got dibs on the first koala cuddles.


Then it was big sister Chloe's turn.


The accommodating koala even let our whole family pet it, as long as it still got to munch its tasty eucalyptus leaves.


Chloe was very popular among the kangaroo set for distributing her yummy bread slices.


This view from Mrs. McQuarrie's Seat is ordinarily one of the best of the Syndey Harbor with its Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Unfortunately it was mostly obscured by thick smoke from the local bush fires.


The revolving restaurant atop Syndey's highest building afforded great views but mediocre cooking. Still, it isn't everyday that kangaroo, camel, and emu meat share the menu with dim sum and chicken nuggets.


Celeste on the steps of Syndey's famed Opera House, where we later enjoyed a New Year's Eve gala opera performance.


The Harbor Bridge is another of Syndey's landmarks.

We had marvelous views of the Opera House, Harbor Bridge, beaches, and historical landmarks from the cruise of Syndey's harbor.
