 Simply Serino! News

News from Carmine and Bonnie Serino

Simply Serino! undergoes major redesign

The Simply Serino! web site is undergoing a major redesign and will be under reconstruction for the next several months.

Carmine has decided to try his hand at creating a new design for the web site using Adobe PageMill.

"I thought it was time to change the look and feel of the site," said Carmine. "I will be adding a lot more photos and graphics to each page in the coming months."

Both Bonnie and Carmine hope to have the new site finished in a few months with all the "bugs" worked out as soon as possible.

Bonnie turns 30

Bonnie turned 30 years old ON March 13, 1999 and celebrated her birthday at the Salishan Lodge in Lincoln City, Oregon.

"Turning 30 wasn't so bad," Bonnie said. "It's not a big deal like everyone thinks it is."

Bonnie received many wonderful gifts from her family and friends, but one of her favorites is a sweatshirt her mom sent that read: "Human Being"
"Version 3.0"

I'm glad I made it to 30, but I just can't wait until Carmine's birthday," said Bonnie. Carmine will turn 30 on May 19.

Vegas! Serino style!

Bonnie and Carmine recently returned from their second trip to "Sin City."

"We had a great time," said Carmine. "Even though we didn't hit any jackpots."

The Serinos traveled to Las Vegas on Feb. 13-16, and stayed at the Stratosphere. During their stay they visited the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Hilton's new Star Trek Experience, the Fremont Street Experience and several shows.

"Old Vegas is a blast," commented Bonnie. "The most colorful characters are at the Golden Gate Casino and the Las Vegas Plaza. This is what I imagined Vegas to be."

The couple also took in two adult shows, "Enter the Night" and "Splash II." "Showgirls work hard, and they have such nice-looking legs," said Bonnie.

Carmine enjoyed playing the slots at the Stardust Hotel and the Riveria. "Easy come, easy go," he said.

iMac makes new home with Serinos

iMac"It's a healthy, happy, baby, blue iMac," joked Carmine upon powering up the new Apple iMac in the Serino's spare bedroom.

After selling their PowerBook 540c, Carmine and Bonnie purchased the "hottest" selling Apple computer with a G3 Processor on Wednesday, Jan. 13 from Fry's Electronic Store in Wilsonville. The couple also purchased a USB zip drive and a UMax scanner. Carmine also installed additional RAM upgrading the iMac to 96MB.

"This is great," said Bonnie. "I just love it!"

Loaded with QuarkXPress, PhotoShop, AppleWorks and Quicken, to name just some of the software, Bonnie and Carmine are enjoying the newest addition to the family.

The iMac is located in the Serino spare bedroom, which previously housed Carmine's keyboard, stereo and electronic equipment. With the power of the World Wide Web, Carmine was able to sell most of his "old toys" to make room for "baby."
