Our Mission and Vision

We live in a world that spins past us at an ever increasing rate. We spend time speeding by one another bumper-to-bumper on the highways and tollways of the Chicago area. We shop in crowded stores and malls, travel in commuter-filled trains, buses and planes. We eat an ever increasing number of meals alone, or with strangers in a restaurant or cafeteria We are constantly surrounded by other people. But, although our crowded world spins by at an increasing speed, many people have never felt more isolated and alone. We often feel as though no one cares. We, as members of Our Redeemer, live in that world too!

But, we know we are not alone. We have found someone who cares for each of us and all of us in a very special way. He is Our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, who is our Savior. We know that Jesus cares for us, through the words He spoke and the caring He did, as recorded in the Bible. He cares for us so deeply that He gave his life for ours, forgiving our sins and promising us eternal life with Him in heaven.

At Our Redeemer, we are cared for by Jesus when we worship Him, listen to His Word, and share in the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. We at Our Redeemer are so thankful that we are cared for by Christ, that we strive to be Christians who are "Caring for People through People."
