unloading unfair?????

You bet it is and let me tell you why I say that ... The reason is that for

1) it is not our freight

2) We get paid less than minium wage for it

3) they people who un load trucks for a living (lumpers) our generally on welfare and don't claim the money they earn on their taxes

4)Half of the time the shipping papers say to "tail gate only" which means to take the freight to the rear of the trailer and that is it ... Wrong it still means to re stack it the way the receiver wants it...

5) the lumpers make any where from 75 to 200 dollars or more to unload truck where the drivers only make between 25 and 50 dollars

6} some receivers make you use their "lumping service"( food lion is the big one for that) and if you don't the make you manually unload the truck instead you using one of their power jacks...

7) the BIGGEST one is after unloading 44,000 pounds do you really want a trucker driving
