I'll let the photos speak
for themselves...
however, I have been unsuccessful
at capturing all the layers of subtle dapples,
which the flash just washes
out.
This guy is living proof
that Julie's earned her place
as "Queen of Dapples"!
Oh, and the where did you
come up with that name, you might ask?
This guy came home two days
before the big Pacific NW quake.
That morning, I decided
to leave him out on my shelf.
I actually went through
the thought process of "Heck, I just got him and I want to enjoy him.
It's not like we're going
to have an earthquake or anything! I'll just shut the door
so the cat can't get in."
Ha! I was a little wrong.
At 10:55, while I was off
at school, we had a 6.8 (or 7, some claim) earthquake.
Thankfully (miraculously?!), he didn't even
fall over!
Hence, the name: "Seven,"
for the magnitude of the quake,
and "Stars," for the obvious
lucky ones he has!
Enjoy...
