Brethren,

The Winter slump is over and things are getting busy at Harmony Lodge #22. Harmony Lodge has voted favorable for Stephen Roger Pethe to accept his 1st Degree. A date has not been set due to the candidates busy schedule, but I’m working on him. Another man is being investigated for his acceptance for our second 1st Degree for 2001. Harmony has reinstated 2 members, brother Harold Kahill demitted to out lodge and received his 50 year pin, and brother Arthur Burger demitted to our lodge.

The D.D.G.M., Right Worshipful Brother Joe Guinta, honored our lodge with an official visit and business went well. He gave an excellent closing speech that inspired us all. Most Worshipful Brother Robert V. Pinkston and Right Worshipful Brother Fred Horton delivered a presentation on the making of our National Flag “old Glory” and was presented on Flag day which made it that much more special.

Our fish fry was a great success thanks to all the brethren putting in a helping hand; especially, Right Worshipful Brother Laurence Laughlin as the chef. A special thanks goes to Worshipful Brother Sonny Gay for bringing extra fish to handle our hungry brethren. Thanks also goes our to our cleanup crew. This Year’s inspirational Meeting will be held at Port Royal Lodge #242 on September 15 at 7:00 PM. Any member of Harmony Lodge that plans to attend, please let me know so that there can be a dinner plate for your serving. Please, bring your Family and Friends.

I shall remind you once again; if there are any children of Masons in good standing throughout our district, that are in High School, please get them in touch with our Secretary to have them put on our list for the E.E. Morris Scholarship Fund. This is a wonderful benefit for our children in college, so please use it.
