Patrick is named as living in St. Joseph Missouri in one of his mother's obituaries, but some of his father's estate papers place him in Coucil Bluffs, Iowa. Another of his mother's obits says that her son Patrick was married. His family comes from the 1920 census and Starbuck family records and memories.

Patrick is confirmed to be the father of Father Joseph Lane by Dennis Starbuck and Dennis' mother.

The middle name of Henry is from his father's 1882 biography and a middle initial of H. is in the probate papers of his father.
