The 1850 Keokuk Co. marriage record is for John Morgan and Sarah Jane Carson. I'm not absolutely certain it is for this John Morgan, but I'm pretty sure. The William Carson family is right next to the the Morgan family in the Steady Run Twp censuses. William Carson married Lydia Boggs in 1839 in Shelby Co., Indiana. Lydia was a sister to John Morgan's mother Betsey Boggs. It appears that Sarah Jane Carson might have been a daughter from a previous marriage of William Carson since there are several other children, ages 12--21, with William and Lydia in the 1850 census in Steady Run Twp. Those ages put all the children as born before William and Lydia's 1839 marriage. The reason I'm not totally sure it is this John Morgan is that his and Sarah's son Theodore was born in Indiana in roughly 1849, according to census information. Such things do happen, I guess.
