Lucinda's first name and marriage and descendents details are known from research and records of her descendent, J. Michael Frost. She is placed in the Apsilla and Matthew Parks family by several pieces of evidence, though none are absolutely conclusive. Much of the evidence for placing Lucinda in this family is from census records. In the 1880 census, of Pleasant Township, Appanoose County, Iowa, Lucinda (Parks) Frost is age 53, born in Indiana and both her parents were born in Kentucky. That fits Apsilla and Matthew nicely. Lucinda married John Frost in Lee County, Iowa, which is adjacent to Des Moines Co., Iowa. Lucinda's uncles, John, Phillip, and William Ballard were living in Des Moines Co. in the 1840 census, as was James R. Ross, the minister who married Lucinda and John.

Back in Indiana, the Matthew and Apsilla Parks households in the 1830 and 1840 censuses have a daughter under age 5 in 1830 and age 10--15 in 1840, which fits with Lucinda's age. Descendent J. Michael Frost states, ``The Mathew Parks household listed in the 1830 census of Jackson County, IN is the only household which I have found that fits the known facts about Lucinda,'' and ``I have been unable to find any Parks households in the 1840 or 1850 censuses of Des Moines or Lee County, IA which I have been able to connect with Lucinda (Parks) Frost.''
