He farmed in the Villa Nova area of Clinton county all his married life until retiring to De Witt about 1950. He has numerous descendents of whom I have no record yet --- on his death he had 33 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren.

In 1925, John and his wife Mamie owned 80 acres in Section 35 in Washington Township.. Their children listed in the farmers directory with them are: Leonard, Gerald, Cyril and Margarete.
