Obadiah's will live leaves his wife Elizabeth his personal estate and 30 acres in Rush Co., Indiana (part of Section 34, Twp 14, Range 10 East, district of Brookville). It names his children Maria, Lucy, William, Sarah, Isam, Irley?, Juliann, and Gricef? The executors were Amaziah Morgan and Elijah Lewask(?) Witnesses: Pressley Glasgo and McCormac Zion.

Obadiah's family sticks together for many years after his death. Most of them are still in Rush County in the 1850 census. His widow Elizabeth still lives with Mariah and Grief, next door to daughter Lucy Chism. By 1860, the family has moved to Perry Twp Clinton Co., Indiana, including widow Elizabeth, Lucy, Mariah, Isam and his children, Grief and his family, and Julia and her family (Julia died in 1860).
