He was always known as Vincent, but his first name was Daniel according to Mel Foley. Vincent lived in Wall Lake, Iowa, then later in Davenport.

Daniel Vincent served in France in the army in 1918 (WW I). After he returned from France, he and his first wife Mary lived in Chicago until October of 1919 when they moved to a farm southwest of Wall Lake, Iowa.

About 1972, Vincent and his second wife Bernice lived in Dublin, Ireland for about 6 months so they could see that country.

Vincent had 49 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren at his death.

Mary Clifford moved to Clinton Co., Iowa with her parents when she was a child. Her parents were Timothy and Anna Clifford.
