CHRISTMAS IN JAPAN
Lifeless idols dressed up brightly,
Garnished in red, with hats and bibs.
The lost are praying, but they can't hear them,
It's Christmas in Japan.
English class parties, luncheons and programs,
Candlelight services and dinners with friends.
Grasping opportunities to tell of the Savior.
It's Christmas in Japan.
Mall signs proclaiming Merry X-mas,
Shoppers rushing to spend their cash.
Speakers blaring Christ-less jingles,
It's Christmas in Japan.
Christmas cards hanging over our doorway,
Bringing news from family and friends.
Yearning to gather and celebrate HIS birthday,
It's Christmas in Japan.
Men and women work as usual,
Kids are riding their bikes to school.
The day is passed without much notice,
It's Christmas in Japan.
It's HIS birthday that we honor,
A Savior born to set men free.
People saved from every nation,
Yes, it's Christmas...
even in Japan.
