| Secrets in the Fields: The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles, by Freddy Silva, recounts his investigations into the phenomenon. There is a good bit of speculation in the book, but the complexity of these designs almost begs one to propose explanations. The illustrations in this book are wonderful. Each must form his own opinion of what agencies may be involved in the creation of crop circles, but good images of the artifacts themselves are an essential starting point. Customer reviews of the book are polarized according to prejudice.
