Hope that you all are doing well. We continue to be blessed by the opportunity to serve the Lord here in Thailand. Although there are many challenges to living in a foreign country, we have found that the blessings far outweigh any difficulties that we have encountered, and that the Lord has new things to teach us here each and every day.
Presently our family has four children, Brently, Breck, Josiah and Jacob. They bring a lot of joy to our lives and keep us free from the need to watch much television or do anything else for entertainment. One of our favorite family activities is just to put on a worship c.d. and dance around the living room. Our youngest Jacob is learning to fit right in with his brothers and sisters. He is just over a year old, and yet he often leads us in the worship parade around the living room.
We have been very blessed to be able to rent a nice home with a big yard. The kids enjoy playing soccer and baseball. We have made some close Thai friends in the past year who come to our house every Sunday afternoon. They really love our kids and show them special attention. This family just became Christians in the past year and it is exciting to see how God is working in their lives as they grow in their faith.
As for the church, we are excited to have many young people who are coming as well as quite a few young families. It is great to see many young Christians growing into leadership roles in the church. We are presently renting a building right on the corner of the intersection of two main roads. It is a great location and not far from our homes. Although we have to climb four flights of stairs to get to our meeting room, it is well worth the effort once you get there.
When I think back about all that we have been through to get to this place as a church body, I am amazed at God's fathfulness to see us through those hard times. We now seem to be in a time of God's favor as many people are coming and expressing intrest in knowing about Jesus.
We continue to work toward establishing a foundation to serve the poor and especially the needed children in Bangkok. We are excited about the changes we have seen in the lives of the children that we have been helping. They are doing well in school now and we have bright hopes for their future. Eventually we would like to start a center to help with drug and alcohol addiction, and would like to see a center raised up to help with AIDS victims also.
We pray that in the right timing God will lead us into every area of service that He has planned for us. It seems like the most crucial aspect of these types of ministries is that the Lord raise up Thai leaders who can oversee these works. We are really thankful for Ying and Suwit who have been raised up to oversee the work we are now doing in helping needy children.
Thank you for your prayers for our family and our work here in Bangkok. We believe that God has great plans for the nation of Thailand. We count it a privelege and honor to serve the Lord in this very special place.
If you have E-mail and would like to receive our semi-weekly prayer requests please let us know.
May God Bless You,
Russ, Tracy, Brently, Breck, Josiah, and Jacob

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear
him, and his righteousness with their children's children -- with those who
