Cousin Carol read my list and enjoyed the "memories" so much she sent in her own list.  Carol is MUCH older than me.  As a child, the six-year difference seemed pretty significant.  She was so sophisticated!  And, she lived in a town that had stores. . .

From Carol's Corner of the World

Blue bicycle with skirt guard and horn
Bus trips to school -- missing bus and walking to school

Foggy Road trips through Everett
Kerosene Lanterns
Hanging Clothes on the Line (AND running out to collect them - Rain)
