A shadow washes over me
as I sit here on my bed
a clouding of uncertain thoughts
rushing through my head
I don't know why I feel this way
or why I shed these tears
but I can't control my thoughts
I can't control my fears

I'm different from the others here
who watch with mocking eyes
I try to hide the real me
while something withing me dies
