Sting's film career have its ups and down. He first acted on a feature film, Quadrophenia in 1979. He is also involved with movies score and composing songs for films.

Aside from being the actor, he also guested on television shows from Artemis '81 on BBC to appearance on The Simpsons.

In 1989, he was also part of the cast of the stage play, Threepenny Opera. He also starred with Meryl Streep in Plenty. He is also the lead star of the films like Brimstone & Treacle with Denholm Elliot, The Bride opposite Jennifer Beals, Julia and Julia also starring Kathleen Turner, and Stormy Monday opposite Melanie Griffith. Sting also graced the following movies, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, played Feyd in Dune.
